Ronan - Robert Barker

memories of singing hymns at Chapel three times a day on a Sunday. Born in Lowestoft he was fortunate to come under the influence of John Farmer who was head of music at Lowestoft Grammar School (now the Denes High) in the late 60's and 70's. School music revolved around the choir and then Gilbert and Sullivan extravaganzas. His next chance to sing was 15 years later, on moving to Norfolk, when he was invited to join the Sam Smith Singers barbershop group . For the last 8 years he has sung with Teresa Verney's 'Sing for Joy!' Community Choirs . Robert likes the sound his own voice makes and enjoys any opportunity to share it with others be it up in a tutu for a cabaret night to impromptu unaccompanied solos at funerals. His day job revolves around HSC a company he began 26 years ago sharing life-enhancing ideas with the world.
